Joint injections are a distinctive feature in the treatment of joint problems caused by various conditions. Adding injections directly to the drug causes both the systemic side effects of the drug to be less noticeable and also increases the chances of success with the direct effect. Purpose of joint injections:
Concomitant injections with imaging devices such as ultrasound and scoping can reduce both side effects and make treatment more successful. It has been determined that most of the blinded shoulder and hip joint injections can not be entered into the full joint. This means that targeted therapies are less likely to succeed in blind injections. The insertion point must be made under imaging, such as ultrasound or scoping, to make the shot.
